Or take a leisurely 15 minute walk along the picturesque riverside track to the local cafes, restaurants and shopping facilities.
Aoraki Mt Cook World Heritage Park is just 40 minutes by car and is a superb day out exploring the glacial lakes, looking for Keas or taking in the close up view of ice falls and the craggy landscapes of Mt Sefton and Mt Cook (New Zealand's highest peak).

The Caterpillar Room Cocoon yourself in this quaint, cosy and romantic studio room. Named after the iconic New Zealand Caterpillar equipment, it is a fun fresh place to stay. The Caterpillar Room is fully self contained with a private courtyard and traditional front porch. With plenty of secure off road parking for your car and boat, this is an affordable option.
River Cottage Enjoy country hospitality at this riverside retreat nestled on 1.8 acres of landscaped grounds. River Cottage is uniquely located right beside the spring fed Twizel River and has it's own small beach and natural swimming hole. In Summer, you will enjoy the gardens which are abundant with fresh vegetables and fruit from the apple and pear trees.
